The Swiss private bank Vontobel Group has designed what it says are the first structured financial investments – ETSFs – in fund form to be listed in Switzerland.

These structured instruments are a new product group that enables investors to benefit from the flexibility of structured investments while enjoying the security of an investment fund and the transparency and liquidity of a listing on the Swiss Exchange.

‘These new funds are especially suitable for investors who, for reasons of diversification, want to or are obliged to invest uniquely in funds,’ says Roger Studer, head of financial products at Vontobel Group. ‘They offer pay-out profiles, underlying instruments and strategies that had previously only been available in the form of structured products.’

Vontobel says that by putting the first exchange-traded structured funds on the market, it will enable investors to benefit from the various pay-out profiles, large choice of underlying instruments and specialised strategies made possible by its structured products.
