The Security Traders Association of New York has decided to establish a new committee for members to cover all aspects of exchange-traded funds, chaired by Anthony Dudzinski, chief executive and chief operating officer of XShares Advisors.
‘With estimates that the ETF market may become a USD2trn business in three years, forming an ETF committee at this time is particularly appropriate,’ Dudzinski says. ‘The new committee will leverage the association’s reach into the trading and market-making communities, educating members and the market about ETFs.’
The decision was taken at a meeting sponsored by the association, XShares Advisors and NYSE Euronext, with panellists including David Abner, managing director for equities at BNP Paribas, Michael Crinieri, managing director for equity derivatives at Goldman Sachs, Lisa Dallmer, senior vice-president for ETFs and indices at NYSE Euronext, Jarvis Joseph, vice-president for asset servicing at Bank of New York Mellon, and Stephen O’Grady, senior managing director at market-maker Kellogg Group.
The Security Traders Association of New York is an affiliate of the Security Traders Association, a worldwide professional organisation for securities traders founded in 1937 to maintain high standards of conduct and ethical practice in the trading division of the investment, security and banking business. The New York association is the largest affiliate of the global body with more than 1,500 members.
