Financial research and information provider SNL Financial has become the latest organisation to join Reita, the educational and awareness campaign for real estate investment trusts and property investment in the UK.

SNL specialises in the collection, standardisation and dissemination of data related to the real estate and financial markets, with more than 4,000 clients and 15,000 users ranging from Wall Street institutions to corporate managers.

‘Reita has become a key organisation in helping to develop investors’ understanding of the UK property market, which we see as one of the most interesting real estate markets in the world,’ says SNL SNL director of real estate Keven Lindemann.

‘It is our policy to work with like-minded organisations such as Reita, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth and development. We plan to fully utilise the opportunities that becoming a member will bring, and hope it will facilitate our own growth in the UK.’

Dave Butler, Reita’s head of external affairs, says: ‘We are delighted to welcome SNL Financial to Reita and are confident that their aptitude in providing real estate data will prove invaluable. There is a significant alignment of interests between our two organisations, particularly focusing on bringing transparency and access to expertise in property investment.

‘We are particularly looking forward to working with SNL to extend our research and reporting capabilities. We are now able to provide our users with greater insight into the property investment market, giving members even more reason to recognise us as an authoritative source of information and insight into Reits and property investment.’

The organisation now has 36 members, including 11 of the biggest Reits and property companies, 10 fund managers, 11 merchant banks and advisers, the London Stock Exchange, law firm DLA Piper, the British Property Federation and the Investment Property Forum.

The portal provides knowledge, education and tools for professional financial advisers, other financial specialists and private investors, and represents the UK’s first dedicated educational resource for information on Reits and quoted property investment.
