Spa ETFs Inc, the US arm of London-based exchange-traded fund provider Spa ETF, has announced that its MarketGrader fundamentals-based ETFs will begin trading on the NYSE Arca listing and trading platform starting on November 13.

The Spa MarketGrader ETFs will cease trading on the NYSE Alternext US, formerly the American Stock Exchange on Wednesday, November 12, at the market close and begin trading on NYSE Arca the following morning. The shift follows completion of the acquisition of the Amex by NYSE Euronext.

‘We are pleased to complete the transition to Arca and look forward to partnering with NYSE,’ says Daniel Freedman, managing director of Spa ETFs. The funds that are relisting are the Spa ETF MarketGrader 40, Spa ETF MarketGrader 100, Spa ETF MarketGrader, Spa ETF MarketGrader Small Cap 100, Spa ETF MarketGrader Mid Cap 100 and Spa ETF MarketGrader Large Cap 100.

The MarketGrader indices are equal weighted and composed of US-traded stocks, including American depositary receipts rebalanced semi-annually (quarterly for the MarketGrader 40 Index) and determined by a proprietary quantitative system developed by MarketGrader based on 24 fundamental factors.

The MarketGrader Small, Mid and Large Cap indices were publicly launched on April 27, 2007, the MarketGrader 40 Index on May 1, 2003 and the MarketGrader 100 and 200 indices on March 15, 2007.

Spa ETF is an independent specialist provider that offers private and institutional investors access to ETFs tracking fundamental US-focused indices. The firm is affiliated with London & Capital, an independent firm of investment advisors and fund managers, with services including investment expertise, research, quantitative analysis and regulatory authorisation, and with USD3.5bn in assets under management.
