Lisle, Illinois-based Claymore Securities has completed the transition of 21 exchange-traded funds from the American Stock Exchange to NYSE Arca following NYSE Euronext’s acquisition of the Amex.
Claymore, which is also a provider of unit investment trusts and closed-end funds, has pioneered various ETF themes, including the first sector rotation ETF, the first US-listed frontier market fund and the first solar energy and shipping ETFs, and currently offers 33 US-listed ETFs. The group provides supervision, management, servicing or distribution to funds totalling some USD13.8bn in assets at the end of September.
The funds transferred to NYSE Arca are the Claymore S&P Global Water Index ETF, Claymore/Zacks Country Rotation ETF, Claymore/Clear Spin-Off ETF, Claymore/Clear Global Timber Index ETF, Claymore/Zacks Yield Hog ETF, Claymore/Zacks Mid-Cap Core ETF, Claymore/Sabrient Defender ETF, Claymore/BNY BRIC ETF, Claymore/Robeco Developed International Equity ETF, Claymore/SWM Canadian Energy Income Index ETF, Claymore/Clear Global Exchanges, Brokers & Asset Managers Index ETF, Claymore/AlphaShares China Small Cap Index ETF, Claymore/Zacks International Yield Hog Index ETF, Claymore/Zacks Dividend Rotation ETF, Claymore/S&P Global Dividend Opportunities Index ETF, Claymore/Sabrient Insider ETF, Claymore/Ocean Tomo Patent ETF, Claymore/Ocean Tomo Growth Index ETF, Claymore/Sabrient Stealth ETF, Claymore/Great Companies Large-Cap Growth Index ETF and Claymore/Zacks Sector Rotation ETF.
Nine other Claymore ETFs, the Claymore/AlphaShares China Real Estate ETF, Claymore/BNY Mellon Frontier Markets ETF, Claymore/Delta Global Shipping Index ETF, Claymore/MAC Global Solar Energy Index ETF, Claymore/Morningstar Information Super Sector Index ETF, Claymore/Morningstar Manufacturing Super Sector Index ETF, Claymore/Morningstar Services Super Sector Index ETF, Claymore/Raymond James SB-1 Equity ETF and Claymore/Robb Report Global Luxury Index ETF, are already listed and trade on NYSE Arca.
As of November 3, the name of the Claymore/Zacks Yield Hog ETF will change to Claymore/Zacks Multi-Asset Income Index ETF and that of the fund’s underlying index will change to the Zacks Multi-Asset Income Index, the Claymore/Sabrient Defender ETF will become the Claymore/Sabrient Defensive Equity Index ETF, and the Claymore/Zacks International Yield Hog Index ETF will become the Claymore/Zacks International Multi-Asset Income Index ETF, while its underlying index will be renamed the Zacks International Multi-Asset Income Index.
Six Northern Exchange Traded Shares (Nets) ETFs, the Nets Dax Index Fund (Germany), Nets FTSE/JSE Top 40 Index (South Africa), Nets FTSE 100 Index Fund (United Kingdom), Nets FTSE Singapore Straits Times Index Fund, Nets S&P/MIB Index Fund (Italy) and Nets S&P/ASX 200 Index Fund (Australia), have also switched from NYSE Alternext, as the Amex is now known, to NYSE Arca.
Exchange traded products listed on NYSE Arca currently represent 59 per cent of ETF and exchange-traded note assets under management in the US, nearly USD353bn. Including the latest listings, NYSE Arca has 318 primary ETF listings, including 16 Northern Trust funds, as well as 79 ETNs and 17 certificates.
