Exchange-traded fund provider Invesco PowerShares Capital Management has announced that it has transferred the five PowerShares ETFs remaining listed on NYSE Alternext US, formerly known as the American Stock Exchange, to the NYSE Arca listing and trading platform.
The move of the PowerShares ETFs follows the acquisition of the Amex by NYSE Euronext, which operates NYSE Arca, which was completed on October 1. On Noveber 3, Invesco PowerShares moved 74 of 79 ETFs from the Amex to NYSE Arca in one of the single largest one-day transfers of ETFs in the history of the exchanges.
The final five PowerShares ETFs which moved to NYSE Arca this week are the PowerShares International Listed Private Equity Portfolio, PowerShares Financial Preferred Portfolio, PowerShares Preferred Portfolio, PowerShares Global Water Portfolio and PowerShares Listed Private Equity Portfolio.
Invesco PowerShares manages more than 100 US and international index-based and actively managed exchange-traded funds and had assets under management of USD12.21bn at the end of September.
