NYSE Euronext has announced the completion of the transition of more than 650 exchange-traded products from NYSE Alternext US, formerly the American Stock Exchange, to the NYSE Arca electronic listing and trading platform, following the completion of its acquisition of the Amex on October 1.
NYSE Alternext US will continue to be the listing venue for more than 500 operating companies and 150 closed-end funds, while all exchange-traded funds and notes listed with NYSE Euronext platforms in the US are now traded on NYSE Arca.
‘With NYSE Euronext’s proven record of strong product launches and commitment to customer service, our exchange-traded product issuers and clients will enjoy the competitive advantages of NYSE Arca’s superior market model, market quality and dedicated liquidity providers,’ says Lisa Dallmer, senior vice president for global indices and exchange-traded products.
Following the acquisition of the Amex, its major US rival for the listing of exchange-traded funds and notes, NYSE Euronext now lists and trades more exchange-traded products than any other exchange group.
