The gold holdings of ETF Securities physically-backed gold ETCs rose to a new all time high of seven million ounces during the week ending 13 February, with ETFS Physical Gold and Gold Bullion Securities seeing the largest inflows.
ETFS Physical Silver holdings are also near all-time highs.
Flows into long oil ETCs rose by USD183m last week, bringing total inflows since the beginning of November to USD1.1bn, more than any other commodity – including gold.
The biggest flows are going into ETFS Crude Oil, ETFS Brent and ETFS WTI.
There has also been a surge in demand for palladium and platinum, with ETFS Physical Palladium seeing a 28 per cent rise last week to 235,000 ounces.
Platinum also has very strong inflows, with ETFS Physical Platinum holdings rising by nine per cent to 208,163 ounces.
ETFS Agriculture trading volumes rose to a new high, trading more than USD60m last week. So far this year agriculture ETCs have seen inflows of USD120m.
