Executive vice president and chief portfolio manager John Hakopian has been promoted to president of The Keller Group Investment Management.

Hakopian (pictured) will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations at The Keller Group, an Irvine-based firm specializing in investment management and financial planning services to high net worth families, trusts and business entities with a minimum investment of USD500,000.

"John has contributed significantly to our growth since its inception from overseeing the daily operations and development of our investment management services to his vast expertise in equity research and portfolio analysis," says Rick Keller, who will remain active as chief executive of The Keller Group and chairman of the board of First Foundation.

As executive vice president and chief portfolio manager for The Keller Group, Hakopian was responsible for fixed income research, buy and sell decisions, portfolio analysis and asset allocation for equity, fixed income and cash investments. Hakopian is supported by the firm’s equity analysts, who perform quantitative and fundamental research on specific industry sectors and equities.

Hakopian is a member of the Orange County Society of Financial Analysts and the Association for Investment Management and Research.
