Advisors Asset Management, an investment solutions provider to broker/dealers and financial advisers, has hired Brian H. Jones as managing director of retail sales distribution.

Advisors Asset Management, an investment solutions provider to broker/dealers and financial advisers, has hired Brian H. Jones as managing director of retail sales distribution.

Jones, who will be based in the firm’s Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, office, will be responsible for forming and leading a team to support the regional broker/dealer and adviser communities across all AAM product lines.

‘Brian is a top-notch sales, marketing, and product management executive with a strong track record of driving retail and institutional financial product sales,’ says Andrew S. Williams, president of AAM. ‘Brian is a key addition to our growing retail sales effort, and we are thrilled to have him on board.’

Jones has extensive experience leading a variety of derivative product and UIT sales efforts across wirehouse, regional, and independent platforms throughout North America. He joins AAM from Macquarie Capital, where he served as managing director, head of equity derivative sales, Americas, with responsibility for managing Latin American equity derivative sales and building US retail and institutional equity derivative sales.

Prior to this role, he managed all retail-focused structured products sales for US and Canada at ABN Amro, where he served as managing director and head, private investor products North America. Previously, Jones established structured products distribution groups at InCapital and Countrywide Securities. He has also managed UIT product distribution at Wachovia Securities and JC Bradford.
