Muttart (pictured) will provide leadership on policies and procedures that are consistent with evolving legal and regulatory authority and serve as a key resource to personal trust officers and other members of wealth management services.

Muttart, who has been an active member of the State Bar of California for 18 years, will also participate in business development opportunities. He will report directly to Michael Dowling, the head of trust services.

"City National’s trust and investment management division was built on a foundation of excellence in client service," says Dowling. "Michael’s strong legal background and fiduciary experience will help us continue to build an environment where attention to detail and superior client service go hand in hand. I am very pleased Michael has joined our team."

"Based on my experience as a practicing attorney in Los Angeles, I know first hand about the quality of City National’s personal trust department," says Muttart. "I’m thrilled to join this talented group of professionals and look forward to helping to make City National Bank the most recommended provider of trust and investment management services."

Prior to his career in private banking, Muttart was in private practice in Los Angeles at trust and estate law firms including Weinstock, Manion, Reisman, Shore & Neumann in Century City and Rosenfeld, Meyer & Susman in Beverly Hills.
