Adriatic Capital Accumulation Fund added to CIS Platform

Emerging Market Property has listed its recently launched Adriatic Capital Accumulation Fund on the CIS Platform.

The CIS Platform is an online resource for IFAs and wealth managers providing access to a range of alternative investments.

Current investment opportunities on the CIS Platform include funds investing in domestic and foreign property, private equity, venture capital and a film scheme.

All investments are available to investors only via an FSA authorised intermediary.

Andrew Piper, director of Emerging Market Property, says: “Listing the Adriatic Capital Accumulation Fund on the CIS Platform provides us with the ideal marketing solution and ensures that our fund is only promoted to persons who are authorised under the FSMA. The CIS Platform has an established network of registered IFAs, wealth managers and family offices with an appetite for this type of alternative investment.”

The fund will invest in property assets in Croatia where the country’s growing economy and changing demographics have led to shortages of supply. The initial focus will be on the second cities of Split and Rijeka. The fund, which aims to raise GBP10m, has a target internal rate of return of 25 to 30 per cent per annum.

The fund is being promoted on behalf of Emerging Market Property by Blue Gate Capital, the Manchester based investment management company, and is primarily aimed at Sipp/Ssas and private equity investors. The minimum investment is GBP50,000.

Piper adds: “Following the success of our previous developments in Croatia, we have launched this fund to cater for a clear shortage of 1st homes, particularly in its second cities. This demand is being driven by increasing city populations catering for the ongoing growth in tourism, as well as the aspiration of an increasingly affluent middle class for higher standards of accommodation. We anticipate this demand further increasing as Croatia prepares to join the EU – now anticipated for 2011.”
