Jubilee launches latest version of FTSE 100-linked plan

RELATED TOPICS

A FTSE 100 Index-linked Early Redemption Plan Issue Five has been launched by specialist investment house Jubilee Financial Products.

In a continuing low interest rate environment, the plan is designed to appeal to sophisticated investors with an appetite for risk, offering potential early return of capital with an 8.25 per cent redemption bonus for each year of investment.

The investment period is five years, with a minimum GBP15,000 required. The plan will invest in warrants issued by UBS.

Capital will be returned at maturity provided the FTSE 100 Index has not fallen by 50 per cent or more at any time during the investment term. In this event, capital will be reduced commensurate with the percentage amount the index is lower than the initial level.

“Our new product will appeal to investors keen on making their money work harder, but with a healthy appetite for risk,” says Jubilee senior partner Ian Millward. “It is a down the line, standard structured investment product, accompanied by clear as day literature which takes into account all the concerns voiced by the Financial Services Authority regarding the transparency of these products.”
