Monthly ETF assets reach new record


National Stock Exchange says assets in US listed exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded notes totalled a new monthly record of approximately USD752bn at November 2009 month-end.

This represents an increase of 54 per cent over November 2008 month-end when assets totalled USD487.6bn.

November 2009 net cash inflows from all ETFs/ETNs totalled approximately USD17.5bn, the highest single monthly total thus far for 2009. Year-to-date total net inflows have reached approximately USD89.7bn.

At the end of November 2009, the number of listed products totalled 908, with over 400 ETFs posting net cash inflows for the month of November 2009.
