Rockefeller, a global wealth management firm serving high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, foundations and endowments, has appointed Christopher J. Wolfe as a managing director and chief of investment strategy.

In this newly-created role, Wolfe reports directly to Austin V. Shapard, president and chief operating officer, and will work closely with the firm’s wealth management and investment professionals to spearhead asset allocation investment strategies across all asset classes.

Wolfe will also lead the development and integration of Rockefeller’s external manager offerings into the firm’s client portfolios.

Previously, Wolfe was a managing director and chief investment officer at Merrill Lynch’s private banking and investment group, where he was responsible for investment strategy, asset allocation and customized portfolio construction for the firm’s ultra high net worth clients.

Prior to working at Merrill Lynch, Wolfe served as a portfolio manager and partner at Dover Management in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Shapard says: "We are delighted to have Chris Wolfe on board, a well-known industry veteran who brings ultra high net worth investment strategy and portfolio construction experience that is truly distinctive. The addition of Chris to our team reflects the strong growth of our firm, and our continued commitment to providing the highest quality of service and expertise to our clients."
