Syndicate Asset Management expands wealth management business

RELATED TOPICS

Syndicate Asset Management has expanded its high-end wealth management business, Savoy Investment Management, with the appointment of David Leslie as an investment manager in Greater Manchester.

Leslie joins Savoy from Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management in Liverpool where he was also an investment manager.

His move follows Syndicate’s recent GBP17.2m fundraising exercise.

Savoy operates four specialist investment offices across the UK, managing some GBP1bn of client funds for over 4,000 clients. Its North West office is located in Stockport and is led by Nigel Carter.

Carter says: "The massive upheavals in the last year in the banking and financial services industry have led many people to question who they can best entrust with their funds. As a result, niche firms such as Savoy have received a significant influx of enquiries from families and charities wishing to re-appraise their choice of wealth manager. This has provided Savoy with significant opportunities – particularly in the North West. Consequently, we are now looking to expand our operations here."
