Gerhard Arminger joins board of Helvetia Wealth

Helvetia Wealth has appointed Professor Gerhard Arminger as a board member.

Arminger (pictured) has been a full Professor of Statistics in Economics at the University of Wuppertal in Germany since 1978.

He is also one of the founders of SAF Simulation, Analysis and Forecasting, a software application company specialising in forecasting and inventory management, which was bought by German software giant SAP in 2009.

Ottmar Ruoff, chairman of Helvetia Wealth, says: "Professor Arminger is an internationally renowned expert in statistics and forecasting and we are truly delighted to welcome him to our company. At Helvetia Wealth he will oversee the implementation of scientific forecasting methods in IT based wealth management applications. This will relaunch Helvetia Wealth as a financial adviser combining the latest science and cutting-edge technology with highly personalised financial advice. With this approach, we will bring a new and unique quality to private banking in a battered market that is demanding more thorough and more reliable analysis.”

"I am looking forward to applying my expertise to investment products and financial services. Following the financial crisis, there is a global call to reassess the methods that brought the world’s financial systems close to collapse. Applying thorough scientific concepts will make investment decisions more rational and will help re-establish the trust that has been lost. Helvetia Wealth provides the ideal platform for this, being both young and innovative and having emerged from the crisis in formidable shape," adds Arminger.

Helvetia Wealth’s core business is the provision of Swiss private banking solutions and asset management services.
