Investment Professionals names John Sacchetti fixed income desk director

Bank broker-dealer Investment Professionals has named John Sacchetti director of its fixed income desk.

The firm says the appointment reflects growth in the number of its bank investment programmes over the past two years and expansion of its retail private asset management and institutional trading services.

Prior to joining Investment Professionals as a financial consultant in one its largest bank programmes, Sacchetti was a principal at Advisors Asset Management. As head of the national accounts fixed income desk he grew the business by 75 per cent from 2006 to 2008.

He also worked as a financial adviser at Wachovia Securities and Merrill Lynch where he managed multi-million dollar client portfolios.

Investment Professionals president and founder Scott Barnes says: "Our fixed income group produced stellar results in the fourth quarter of 2009 for the firm, our financial consultants, clients and financial partners due in no small part to the addition of John Sacchetti to our team. I am confident that with John at the helm John, Brooks, Jennifer, Bryan and Randy will continue this type of performance into 2010."

Sacchetti adds: "IPI has always had substantial capabilities in fixed income.  Its advanced trading platform – – enables access to the inventory of 300 dealers and over 20,000 fixed income securities. I look forward to helping IPI stay at the forefront of its industry with competitive fixed income pricing and best-of-breed instruments for client portfolios."
