Barclays Wealth hires three in Washington DC and Philadelphia

Barclays Wealth has hired William Scott, Steve Pritsios and Donald Mahoney as investment representatives in Washington DC and Philadelphia as part of its continued growth in the US.

Scott and Pritsios, based in Washington, join Barclays Wealth from Oppenheimer.

Previously, they worked at FBR Capital Markets Private Wealth Management and Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, serving ultra high net worth and small institutional clients.

Mahoney, based in Philadelphia, brings more than 20 years of wealth management experience to his new role. He joins from Radnor Trust where he was responsible for building a bank and trust company. Prior to Radnor, Mahoney worked at Commerce Bank, Wachovia Bank and Mellon Private Asset Management.

"We are delighted to have professionals with Bill’s, Steve’s and Don’s broad banking and wealth management experience join our offices in Washington and Philadelphia as we continue growing," says Scott Sheffer, managing director and branch manager of both offices.

The firm hired 50 investment representatives in 2009 and plans to add more than 100 in 2010.
