StanCorp Investment Advisers, a subsidiary of StanCorp Financial Group, has completed the acquisition of Redwood Investment Advisers, an investment advisory firm located in Indianapolis.

The acquisition brings StanCorp Investment Advisers’ total assets under management to more than USD1bn.

"We’re very pleased with this, our ninth acquisition," says Julie Grandstaff, vice president and managing director of StanCorp Investment Advisers. "Breaking the billion dollar mark is a significant accomplishment, but more importantly, we’re just excited to welcome this great new practice and group of people. It’s a great fit for both sides and we see a lot of potential in the market."

StanCorp Investment Advisors has also hired David Webb of Webb Financial Advisers and acquired his practice, adding additional clients. Webb and other advisers will continue to serve more than 260 clients.

"Our organisations are similar in many ways – both share strong investment and business philosophies as well as a focus on outstanding client service," says Grandstaff. "These shared values and practices make Redwood a natural and complementary fit with StanCorp Investment Advisers."
