Fortress International launches Luxembourg life settlement fund

The Fortress International Fund has completed its expansion and officially launched the Luxembourg Fortress International Capital & Partners SCS Fund.

The Luxembourg-based Fortress fund is an open-ended investment vehicle that participates in the US secondary market for life insurance under a managed buy and hold strategy.

"Our management team made a commitment to provide our investors with value in every facet of our life settlement operations," says Peter Dodd, Fortress fund director. "We are confident our size and unique offering in Luxembourg and high quality service model will provide opportunities for this fund to grow and prosper."

Investors in the Luxembourg-based Fortress fund can invest into US-based life settlements while mitigating withholding tax, making this investment vehicle truly tax neutral for treaty investors.

The fund offers investors the opportunity to diversify away from traditional financial markets by providing an opportunity to participate in the minimally correlated asset class known as life settlements. The fund offers investors growth potential with a low level of volatility in comparison to traditional investment strategies.

The fund gains exposure on life settlements by investing in investment grade, medium to long term US life insurance contracts.
