US ETF and ETN assets rise by 68 per cent


Assets in US listed exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded notes totalled a record of approximately USD819.8bn at March 2010 month-end, up 68 per cent from March 2009 month-end when assets totalled USD489.1bn, according to National Stock Exchange.

 At the end of March 2010, the number of listed products totalled 971, compared to 839 listed products at the end of March 2009.

March 2010 net cash inflows from all ETFs and ETNs totalled approximately USD20.3bn.

US equity and fixed income categories both showed strong growth with USD12.3bn and USD4.7bn respectively in net inflows for March 2010.
