Close maintains strong banking performance

Close Brothers Group says it has posted strong results for the first part of its financial year.

Much of this performance has been given by the banking division in the UK, supported by Close’s banking services for private clients in the offshore British Isles.

The investment, trust and fiduciary businesses have also contributed positively to the result.

Graham Sheward, managing director of Close offshore banking in Guernsey and the Isle of Man, says: “The offshore banking businesses were delighted to contribute to this excellent result, and are planning a number of new products for both local personal and intermediary clients during 2010.”

Close provides banking facilities from its offshore operations, Close Bank Guernsey Limited and Close Bank (Isle of Man) Limited. These cater for private individuals, trusts, charities, corporations, small to medium sized institutions and professional intermediaries.
