Deutsche Bank boosts North Asia wealth planning team

RELATED TOPICS

Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management has appointed Teddy Chu as head of wealth planning North Asia and Andrew Chan as wealth planner.

In their Hong Kong-based roles, Chu and Chan will be focused on creating wealth preservation and succession solutions for Deutsche Bank’s private wealth management clients in North Asia.

Chu will also assume responsibility for leading the wealth planning operations for the North Asia market.

They both report to Singapore-based Mark Smallwood, head of wealth management solutions Asia Pacific.

Smallwood says: "Succession planning and wealth management has increasingly become a key concern, particularly among high net worth individuals in Asia. The calibre of these hires clearly demonstrates our commitment to advancing Deutsche Bank’s position as a leading private bank, providing the most innovative wealth management services and holistic solutions to our growing pool of clients in North Asia."

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Chu and Chan held senior wealth planning positions at HSBC Trustee in HSBC Private Bank in Hong Kong.
