ProFunds Group, a provider of leveraged and inverse funds, has named Donald Roberson managing director, distribution.
Roberson, most recently with Lincoln Financial Group, will oversee all distribution channels for ProShares ETFs and ProFunds mutual funds.
He reports to Michael L. Sapir, chairman and chief executive of ProShare Advisors and ProFund Advisors.
“Don brings more than 30 years of investment-industry experience and has a proven record of building and managing distribution teams across channels,” says Sapir. “We are excited to add a seasoned professional of Don’s calibre to our team.”
Prior to joining ProFunds, Roberson served as senior vice president and head of distribution for the employer markets group at Lincoln Financial Group in Philadelphia. In this role, he was part of Lincoln’s corporate leadership group, setting strategic direction for distribution, product development, and marketing and branding. Previously at Lincoln, Roberson was head of distribution for wire houses and regional broker dealers.
Prior to joining Lincoln Financial Group, Roberson was senior vice president, director of distribution for managed accounts at John Hancock/Independence Investments. He has also worked with Mutualfunds.com/PFPC, Funds Distributor, BlackRock, Reich & Tang and Prudential-Bache Securities.
