Union Bancaire Privée has appointed Yves Stein as the head of its banking activities in Luxembourg.
Before joining UBP, Stein was director general at BNP Paribas (Suisse), in charge of wealth management.
Before that he was chief executive private banking within Fortis group.
"We are delighted to have Yves Stein at the helm of our Luxembourg office. He brings with him his international private banking experience acquired over more than twenty years and in all the major European financial centres. He has all the qualities it takes for implementing our strategy and developing our activities in Luxembourg and the European Union," says Michel Longhini, head of Union Bancaire Privée’s private banking division.
UBP has had an office in Luxembourg since 2002. The bank has selected the Luxembourg financial centre as the platform from which to expand its private banking and asset management activities in Europe.
Stein says: "I am very pleased to be joining such a dynamic bank with such skilled people and am keen to contribute my experience towards helping UBP become a major player on the Luxembourg financial scene."
