Skandia adds risk-rated range to Transact

Skandia Investment Group has added its Spectrum range of six risk-rated funds to the Transact platform as part of an ongoing initiative to increase the availability of its funds to advisers and their clients.

The range, which is also available on the Skandia Investment Solutions platform, Cofunds and Nucleus, has attracted in excess of GBP720m since being launched in April 2008.

The funds have been designed to match the expected volatility of six different investor risk profiles and are regularly reviewed and automatically rebalanced to ensure they remain in line with the stated volatility targets.

Unlike most funds, which are rated on performance relative to a peer group, they aim to maximise investment returns within these set volatility targets.

Rob Williams, chief sales and marketing officer at Skandia Investment Group, says: “While our Spectrum range of risk-rated funds has proved extremely popular with advisers since launch two and a half years ago, importantly they have also delivered exactly what they are supposed to for their clients. Having established a solid track record of delivering for investors, the business is now looking to make the funds more widely available to the adviser community and having them available on Transact is part of that.”
