BMO Harris Private Banking appoints vice president for Atlantic Canada

BMO Harris Private Banking has appointed Rick Thomson as vice president and market leader for Atlantic Canada.

Thomson will assume leadership of a team of 35 professionals who serve customers through BMO’s Private Banking Offices in Halifax, Moncton and St. John’s.

Thomson has over 30 years’ experience with BMO, and was most recently vice president and regional director of banking for the Greater Toronto division of BMO Harris Private Banking.

"Rick’s extensive knowledge of our business and previous work experience throughout the region make him the ideal individual to lead our growing private banking operations in Atlantic Canada," says Andrew Auerbach, senior vice president and head of BMO Harris Private Banking.

Thompson’s appointment follows BMO’s recent announcement that it plans to launch a new division focused on the ultra-rich and increase the private banking group by 15 per cent in the coming year.
