Investment industry veteran Art Nunes and his Dynamic Investing Group have joined Seattle-based registered investment adviser Northwest Asset Management.

Nunes will be Northwest’s chief investment officer and Dynamic Investing Group’s director/portfolio manager.

Rita Fernandez Aguilar has been named senior partner and Nu Wang has been named technical research analyst.

Prior to joining Northwest Asset Management, Nunes was a principal and portfolio manager of Oregon based IMS Capital Management, where he was the firm’s technical market strategist and managed the strategic allocation strategy for high net worth clients.

Before that, he was a portfolio manager with RBC Dain Rauscher and Salomon Smith Barney.

Nunes and his Dynamic Investing Group have developed a process that uses trend-following strategies to reduce risk during bear markets and relative strength-ranking strategies to increase returns during bull markets. They manage growth, income stock and fixed income portfolios for their clients.

“Our clients want and need a financial adviser who can provide a full range of wealth management services within a flexible open architecture platform; in addition to investment management, clients want help with their personal financial planning, retirement income, educational funding and estate planning,” says Nunes. “We chose Northwest Asset Management because we believe its team of financial professionals offers our clients a superior depth of experience and resources in wealth management services.”

“We are excited to welcome the Dynamic Investing Group and their clients to our firm,” says Greg Headrick, managing partner of Northwest Asset Management. “Its innovative investment process is an ideal fit with our existing fiduciary practices, investment management and financial planning solutions. The Dynamic Investing Group brings more than 50 years of investment management experience to our growing organisation.”
