Vistra Group has expanded into Mainland China through the acquisition of a trust and corporate service business in Guangzhou.
The acquired business will be branded as the Vistra Group, which is an independent provider of trust, fiduciary, corporate and fund services.
John Ashwood, managing director of Vistra Hong Kong, says: “This is Vistra’s first step into Mainland China and will be a foundation from which we can build our China office network. It is Vistra’s objective to become recognised as a leading company in our industry, and the China market is an important part of our strategy to achieve our goal.”
The Guangzhou business, which was established in 2004, will retain its professional team following the change to Vistra. The business currently specialises in providing immigration authentication services supporting applications for investment immigration visas under EB-5 to the US.
Ashwood adds: “Vistra’s Hong Kong office provides a full range of corporate and trust services to a local and international client base, and we will soon be adding complementary services to the Guangzhou operation to cater for our China related inbound and outbound client activities, as well as introduce other standalone services.”
