National Stock Exchange says assets in US listed exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded notes reached a record of USD940.4bn at October 2010 month-end.
This is an increase of approximately 33 per cent over October 2009 month-end when assets totalled USD707.4bn.
At the end of October 2010, there were 1,066 listed products.
ETF net cash flows for the month totalled over USD13bn, bringing the year to date total to approximately USD88.7bn.
ETF/ETN notional trading volume during October 2010 totalled USD1.35trn, representing 28 per cent of all US equity trading volume.
