Maples strengthens share of Irish funds market

RELATED TOPICS

Law firm Maples and Calder says it has increased its market share in the investment funds arena in Ireland over the past two years.

Maples is now ranked second among all Irish legal advisers, progressing from a previous ranking of seventh in 2008, in terms of funds advised on (both domiciled and non-domiciled).

This represents almost a 370 per cent growth in market share over this period.

Within the last year alone Maples has more than doubled the number of domiciled funds on which the firm advises (a 111 per cent increase).

The market share rankings, as at June 2010, are independently compiled and verified by Lipper, a subsidiary of Thomson Reuters.

Partner Barry McGrath says: "We are delighted to see our sustained development supported in these market share rankings. It reflects our commitment to this sector in building a quality team and augmenting our expertise to ensure that we continue to provide our clients with exceptional service, whilst sustaining significant growth."
