US ETF and ETN assets reach new month-end record


National Stock Exchange says assets in US listed exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded notes reached a record of USD947bn at November 2010 month-end. 

This is an increase of approximately 26 per cent over November 2009 month-end when assets totalled almost USD752bn. 

ETF net cash inflows for the month totalled over USD11bn, bringing the year to date total to approximately USD99.7bn. 

ETF/ETN notional trading volume during November 2010 totalled USD1.46trn, representing 29 per cent of all US equity trading volume. 

At the end of November 2010, there were 1092 listed products.
