CBIZ Wealth Management joins Mariner Wealth Advisors

RELATED TOPICS

Mariner Wealth Advisors is expanding its wealth advisor team through the acquisition of the individual wealth management firm formerly associated with CBIZ Inc, known as CBIZ Wealth Management.

The group joining Mariner from CBIZ Wealth Management includes 24 individual wealth management consultants and professionals located in Cumberland (MD), Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and San Diego. They joined Mariner effective January 1, increasing the number of Mariner wealth advisors significantly and the total number of professionals in the broader Mariner family to 270.

Terms of the transaction were not announced, but each of the CBIZ individual wealth management group’s offices is expected to remain open and be rebranded under the Mariner name within a year.

"We believe there is great potential for our organisations to benefit from our respective skill sets," says Mariner Wealth Advisors CEO Martin C Bicknell. "Our excellence as wealth advisors complements this group’s excellence in business services, products and solutions in accounting, employee benefits, insurance and retirement planning.

"By affiliating with Mariner Wealth Advisors, these wealth advisors will have unique access to a broader range of services and our holistic approach to long-term wealth management for family offices, businesses and high net-worth individuals. For us, adding this group helps deepen our expertise and broaden our capabilities for clients."
