Deutsche Bank launches first research service for index investors

RELATED TOPICS

Deutsche Bank has launched a unique new research publication to assist the increasing numbers of investors trading indices.

Fundamental Index Views, the first of which analyses prospects for the German Dax30 equity index, will become a regular feature of the bank’s research output for institutional investors. With more investors seeking to take market exposure via exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in particular, as well as other index-based products, Deutsche Bank has identified demand for a service dedicated to regular analysis of the index market.

“Investment managers and other investors are increasingly shifting from traditional stock and bond picking to dynamic investing based on asset allocation models,” says Lars Slomka, research strategist and lead author of the reports. “It was therefore thought necessary to have regular analysis specifically aimed at these investors.”.

The reports will be published without individual product recommendations, and will focus purely on analysing indices. Investors can then get exposure to the movements in those indices via whichever trading vehicle they prefer, be it ETFs, futures, swaps, options or certificates/exchange-traded notes.
