STOXX announces new composition of Eastern Europe 50 Index

STOXX Limited has announced the results of the first of the two regular semi-annual reviews of the STOXX Eastern Europe 50 Index.

Effective as of the open of European markets on March 21, 2011, the following companies will be added to and deleted from the STOXX Eastern Europe 50 Index:
 
PGE (Poland, Utilities, PGEP.WA) FGC UES (Russia, Utilities, FEES.MM)
PZU GROUP (Poland, Insurance, PZU.WA) SISTEMA (Russia, Telecommunications, AFKC.MM)
WIMM-BILL-DANN FOODS (Russia, Food & Beverage, WBDF.MM) MARFIN POPULAR BANK (Cyprus, Banks, MRBr.AT)
NLMK (Russia, Basic Resources, NLMK.MM) MAGYAR TELEKOM (Hungary, Telecommunications, MTEL.BU)

As of February 28, 2011, the total free-float market capitalisation of the reconstituted STOXX Eastern Europe 50 Index increased to EUR318.83 billion from EUR313.97 billion.
 
Changes in the STOXX Eastern Europe 50 Index are being announced today after the conclusion of the first of the two regular semi-annual reviews. The adjusted component weightings, including the number of shares and free-float factors, will be announced on March 16, 2011 after the close of markets. All changes will be effective as of the open of markets on March 21, 2011.
