STOXX Europe 600 sector ETF’s see USD304.3m outflows

There were USD304.3m net outflows from STOXX Europe 600 sector ETFs in the week ending 18 March 2011.

 

The largest sector ETF net outflows last week were in utilities with USD119.2m followed by insurance with USD82.8m net outflows while retail experienced net inflows of USD21.8m.

Year to date, STOXX Europe 600 sector ETFs have seen USD810.8m net inflows, with banks has seen the largest net inflows with USD493.7m followed by oil and gas with USS471.7m net inflows. Automobiles and parts meanwhile, experienced the largest net outflows with USD131.7m.

As of 18 March 2011, there is USD10.7bn AUM invested in the STOXX sector ETFs which is almost double the USD6.5bn open interest in the sector futures. The ETF AUM is greater than the open interest in the corresponding futures contract in 16 out of 19 sectors.
