Oppenheimer & Co, a unit of Oppenheimer Holdings, has appointed Kevin Schultze as Managing Director in the company’s Financial Institutions Group.
Schultze will be responsible for providing detailed portfolio analytics to banks, insurance companies, trust companies, savings and loans, credit unions and municipalities. He has over 20 years of experience in fixed income portfolio management and economic research, he will report to Robert S Lowenthal, Senior Managing Director of Taxable Fixed Income Sales & Trading.
"Kevin’s experience in both portfolio management and research will further enhance the service we provide to our clients," says Lowenthal.
Schultze joins Oppenheimer from Stone & Youngberg, where he managed a team that provided research and strategy ideas to institutional clients. Previously, he served as a Vice President and Lead Senior Analyst for RBC Dain Rauscher, where he oversaw the design and implementation of financial strategies for the firm’s fixed income clients. Prior to that, he was President of Community Bank and Thrift Advisory Services, Inc., which he founded in 1986.
