STOXX Europe 600 ETFs down USD93.8m


STOXX Europe 600 sector ETFs saw outflows of USD93.8m in the week ending 15 April 2001, according to the latest figures released by BlackRock.

The largest sector ETF net outflows last week were in basic resources with USD144.5m followed by telecommunications with USD63.2m net outflows while industrial goods and services experienced net inflows of USD51.8m. Year to date, STOXX Europe 600 sector ETFs have seen USD374.7m net inflows.

Oil and gas has seen the largest net inflows with USD491.9m, followed by banks with USD349.1m net inflows while utilities experienced the largest net outflows with USD132.3m. As of 15 April 2011, there is USD10.8 Bn AUM invested in the STOXX sector ETFs which is almost double the USD6.0 Bn open interest in the sector futures. The ETF AUM is greater than the open interest in the corresponding futures contract in 16 out of 19 sectors.
