STOXX Europe 600 sector ETFs see USD409.5m inflows


STOXX Europe 600 sector ETFs saw inflows of USD409.5m in the week ending 29 April.

The largest sector ETF net inflows last week were in food and beverage with USUSD152.2m followed by automobiles and parts with USD82.9m net inflows while basic resources experienced net outflows of USD16.1m.

Year to date, STOXX Europe 600 sector ETFs have seen USD940.2m net inflows. Oil and gas has seen the largest net inflows with USD510.4m, followed by banks with USD333.7m net inflows while basic resources experienced the largest net outflows with USD155.7m.

As of 29 April 2011, there is USD11.9 Bn AUM invested in the STOXX sector ETFs which is almost double the USD6.4 Bn open interest in the sector futures. The ETF AUM is greater than the open interest in the corresponding futures contract in 17 out of 19 sectors.
