STOXX Europe 600 sector ETFs see USD109.7m net inflows


STOXX Europe 600 sector ETFS saw net inflows of USD109.7m for the week ending 20 May 2011, according to the latest figures released by BlackRock.

The largest sector ETF net inflows last week were in healthcare with USD143.7m followed by food and beverage with USD49.1m net inflows while oil and gas experienced net outflows of USD149.3m. Year to date, STOXX Europe 600 sector ETFs have seen USD477.6m net inflows.

Healthcare has seen the largest net inflows with USD316.4m, followed by banks with USD279.6m net inflows while basic resources experienced the largest net outflows with USD172.7m. As of 20 May 2011, there is USD10.8bn AUM invested in the STOXX sector ETFs which is almost double the USD6.9bn open interest in the sector futures. The ETF AUM is greater than the open interest in the corresponding futures contract in 16 out of 19 sectors.
