Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) has hired Roberta Eckert and Michael Agan who will serve as Wealth Management Consultants on the Fee-Based Distribution team. With the addition of Eckert and Agan, the team now has a committed specialist in each district to help support sales of the Allianz Retirement ProSM Variable Annuity in the broker/dealer channel.

Joining current Wealth Management Consultants Jay Rosoff (Northeast), Ryan Hurley (West) and Mike Nicola (Central), Eckert will be responsible for the Southeast district and Agan for the Great Lakes district. Together, Eckert and Agan bring more than 38 years of management, distribution, and financial experience to their new positions.

“Adding Roberta and Michael to our team is a significant step as we continue to expand our fee-based distribution strategy,” says Corey Walther, Head of Investment Relations and Fee-Based Distribution for Allianz Life Financial Services, LLC. “I’m confident that their technical background and experience in the field will be a valuable asset to our organisation as they work closely with our internal and external Retirement Consultants.”

Eckert joins Allianz Life with more than 20 years of experience in wholesaling, sales management, and training/practice management at a variety of companies including Jackson National, MetLife, and SunLife. Most recently, Eckert was with Genworth Financial where she led the Sales Development team in developing strategy and process for improving Wholesaler and Sales Manager productivity. Prior to that, she worked in the Advanced Sales department at Lincoln Financial as a Strategic Advisor and National Spokesperson.

Before joining Allianz Life, Agan was part of the AXA Distributors group where he was responsible for the creation and development of the AXA Equitable Retirement Income Center. In this role, he trained and developed internal and external wholesalers in retirement related concepts as well as delivered retirement related presentations throughout the industry. Prior to that, Agan spent several years at Nationwide Retirement Solutions in a variety of positions including Retirement Income Planning and Investment Advisory Consultant.

Eckert is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and German from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa. Agan is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Wealth Management from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
