Fieldpoint acquires Nutmeg

RELATED TOPICS

Fieldpoint Private Bank & Trust has expanded its current wealth management offering to include traditional debt and equity securities transactions as well as insurance and annuities contracts with the purchase of Nutmeg Securities LLC, a broker dealer located in Westport, CT. Details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

"The addition of Nutmeg Securities and its technology complements Fieldpoint Private’s independent Wealth Management platform and investment capabilities," says Robert S Matthews, President & CEO of Fieldpoint Private. "We will continue to service the needs of Nutmeg’s clients and look forward to enhancing the wealth strategy potential for our Members at Fieldpoint Private, now incorporating Nutmeg’s core expertise."

Nutmeg Securities LLC was founded in 1986. Since its inception, it was purposely aligned with the interests of its clients and traders, ensuring conflict-free wealth management decisions, which, according to Matthews, matches the perspective of Fieldpoint Private. For more than 20 years, Nutmeg Securities focused on meeting needs and expectations of its clients providing agency-only, execution and settlement services, and will add to the existing wealth management expertise at Fieldpoint Private.

Nutmeg Securities LLC, a subsidiary of Fieldpoint Private Bank & Trust, will exist as a wholly-owned operation of Fieldpoint Private from its Westport, CT, location.
