Brooks Macdonald Funds strengthens sales team

Brooks Macdonald Funds Limited (BMF), the fund management business of Brooks Macdonald Group plc, has appointed Mark Watson as New Business Development Manager.

Watson, based in Brooks Macdonald’s London office in Mayfair, will develop and enhance key relationships with IFAs, Discretionary Fund Managers (DFMs) and other business professionals to assist in the promotion of BMF’s fund proposition in the market place.

Watson joins BMF from Zurich Assurance Company where he worked as an Executive Account Consultant, building and maintaining business relationships with IFA firms in London. Mark has worked for 13 years in the Financial Services industry, including three years in the Middle East, establishing relationships with institutional clients, private banks and wealth management platforms.

Simon Wombwell, Chief Executive of BMF, says: “Mark brings with him a wealth of experience and he is well known within the Financial Services sector. His position further strengthens our ability to deliver our fund proposition to a broader audience, ultimately growing our funds under management.”

Watson adds: “I am delighted to be taking up my role of New Business Development Manager. I am very much looking forward to raising BMF’s profile, working with DFMs and IFAs who manage their clients’ assets, which in turn will increase funds under management.”
