SEI selected by SpareBank1 Markets to provide outsourcing services for Ucits fund

SEI has been selected by Nordic investment manager SpareBank1 Markets AS to provide full fund administration and trustee and custodial services for its new Irish-registered Ucits fund.

SEI’s expertise in supporting Ucits-compliant funds and its extensive range of scalable Ucits support services were key factors in SpareBank1 Markets AS’ decision-making process.  SEI is widely recognised for its market-leading technology, and the quality of its reporting capabilities brings enhanced functionality and insight to SpareBank1 Markets AS’ operations.
SEI’s comprehensive outsourcing solution encompasses fund administration, accounting, investor servicing, and Irish trustee and custody services. At the centre of its solution is SEI’s Manager Dashboard, which provides flexible, transparent, and aggregated views of data across multiple product lines from the fund or portfolio level down to the investment security level via the web.  The scalability and adaptability of SEI’s solutions allows for the long-term, consistent support of SpareBank1 Markets AS’ requirements, and as ongoing developments in the Ucits framework continue to require evolving operational processes and reporting.
Phil Masterson (pictured), Senior Vice President and Head of Business Development, Europe, within SEI’s Investment Manager Services division, says: “We’re pleased to be working with such a respected name in the Nordic market. The fundamental strength of SEI’s technology was core to this latest appointment by SpareBank 1 Markets AS. We can deliver on their requirement for timely and transparent access to their data and, in doing so, enable the company to enhance internal decision-making as well as improve their investors’ experience.  We look forward to working with SpareBank1 Markets AS as it progresses on an already impressive growth trajectory.”
Nils Tore Eliassen, Head of Bank Distribution in SpareBank1 Markets AS, says: “SEI operates a truly global model which offers significantly enhanced insight and transparency into our operations. SEI’s integrated solution provides us with insight that is key for us to deliver an unrivalled service to our clients. Additionally, with Ucits IV regulations about to go into effect, SEI has enhanced their technology and processes to help us fulfil future requirements. We look forward to leveraging the benefits of SEI’s world-class Ucits expertise.”
