MetLife expands distribution with Assureweb link

MetLife has joined Assureweb’s enhanced bonds service in a further significant expansion of its distribution network.

MetLife’s Income for Life and Guaranteed Investment Bonds are now available for quotes on the service, which offers advisers RDR friendly remuneration and product support.

The link with Assureweb, one of the UK’s leading technology partners for intermediaries, builds on the successful launch of MetLife’s innovative Freedom Income Plan fixed-term annuity on Assureweb’s service in September.

The Assureweb portal services more than 22,000 registered users from across the UK life and pensions market providing access to over 180 products from around 35 market-leading providers.

Dominic Grinstead, Managing Director of MetLife’s UK Branch, says: “Guarantees have helped to significantly boost the market for bonds and we have been very pleased with the strong response from advisers and clients.

“We are focused on working closely with and supporting advisers and Assureweb’s enhanced bond service enables us to further strengthen our service and distribution.”

Ian Teague, Commercial Director at Assureweb, says: “We are consistently adding new products to our service in order to provide our customers with more choice. The addition of these products from MetLife further enhances our investment offering to advisers. We are pleased to be chosen by MetLife and look forward to furthering our relationship in the future.”

Assureweb’s enhanced bond service provides transparent growth rates and flexibility around provider selection making doing business easier for advisers. Options on remuneration are more flexible enabling advisers to enter a specified amount of customer agreed remuneration.

Additional work is planned throughout 2012 to further enhance the Assureweb investment offer to ensure the bond service is fully RDR compliant.
