On-exchange ETP turnover up 21%, says Lyxor

On-exchange ETP turnover rose by 21% on the previous week to EUR13.4bn, according to the latest weekly trading reports from Lyxor ETFs, Societe Generale’s wholly owned subsidiary.

Lyxor ETFs also achieved the second highest trading volume on a 20-day basis with a 24.16% market share.

Underlying equity market activity (measured by the STOXX Europe 600 Index turnover) also rose with an 18% increase on the previous week at EUR109bn. Reported on exchange ETP trading meanwhile, rose to 12.18% of equivalent equity market activity.
 
Lyxor was ranked number two with 24.16% market share on a 20 day basis with iShares at number 1 with market share of 28.9%. On a five-day basis Lyxor was ranked number two with 24.43% market share, iShares market share on a five-day basis was 30%.

Deutsche Boerse market share was to 33.18% on a 20 day basis and 32.5% on a 5 day basis, while the LSE had the next highest market share at 19.5% on a 20 day basis. On a short term basis Euronext was ranked number two with market share of 20.55%.
