Signia Wealth Limited has appointed Martin King (pictured) as managing director to head up its newly opened Birmingham office as part of developing a regional strategy to provide clients with a dedicated presence in the West Midlands.

The new office will serve ultra high net worth clients in the West Midlands and surrounding area who prefer their affairs to be managed on a more local basis. The Birmingham office is the latest stage in ambitious growth plans that Nathalie Dauriac-Stoebe, CEO of Signia Wealth, has in store for the boutique wealth management firm.

King joins Signia Wealth from UBS Wealth Management where he held the position of Executive Director and founded their Midlands Office which was established in 2003. King played a pivotal role in building the business over the last 8 years and has built up an extensive network amongst the regional entrepreneurial community in the West Midlands. In this role, King worked closely with some of the UK’s leading tax, trust, and corporate finance advisers.

Prior to UBS, King worked at Klienwort Benson Private Bank and Singer and Friedlander Investment Management. He has amassed over 25 years experience in managing the affairs of some of the Midlands wealthiest families and entrepreneurial clients, advising them on all aspects of wealth management and wealth structuring.

King says: “Providing a bespoke wealth management service is the key to meeting clients’ needs and this is also an integral part of Signia Wealth’s ethos. I am especially excited to be joining the firm as I have the opportunity to build up the new office from scratch.

Nathalie Dauriac-Stoebe, CEO of Signia Wealth, says: “Martin is a highly experienced addition to the team at Signia Wealth and is already a highly respected name in the Midlands wealth management sector. His appointment, allied with the opening of our new Birmingham office, will enable the firm to build upon the tremendous success of our London office since the company was founded in 2010.

“Signia Wealth is gaining a strong reputation for attracting the very best talent and experience within the wealth management sector. Martin is the latest in a series of appointments that show a key strength of Signia is its people. Our team enables us to provide a personalised wealth management service that offers unrivalled service levels to clients to ensure that returns on their assets are maximised.”
