Laurent Vanderweyen (pictured)has joined Alter Domus – an independent provider of professional administration services for multinational corporations and alternative investment funds – as CEO of its Luxembourg office and Global Head of Fund Services.

“I am confident that Laurent is the right person to lead and drive the development of Alter Domus’ Luxembourg office, our firm’s headquarters, and foster our current international Fund Services offering” says Dominique Robyns, President and Chairman of Alter Domus, who is now devoting greater attention to the firm’s international expansion efforts. Since 2007 Alter Domus has established 14 new offices and desks worldwide and has expanded its service offerings in many of these locations in response to the needs of its clients.

“I am deeply impressed by the quality, depth and breadth of services that Alter Domus offers to its well-diversified portfolio of clients,” says Vanderweyen. “As CEO of the Luxembourg office, one of my key priorities is to ensure that our Luxembourg-based clients continue to receive the excellent services upon which they have come to rely.” Indeed, Alter Domus holds the number one market share in Luxembourg.

“Over the next few months, we will consolidate our position in our key markets, build on our current on-shore and off-shore capabilities and continue to enhance our product offering and geographical coverage,” says Vanderweyen. “This will contribute to Alter Domus’ ambition to assist its customers across the entire fund administration value chain in many of the most important fund centers around the world.”

Vanderweyen brings nearly 20 years of substantial experience in the financial services industry to his new roles at Alter Domus. From 1993 until 2009 he held senior-level positions with Dexia Banque Internationale à Luxembourg and RBC Dexia Investor Services, where he was a member of the Group Executive Committee. Prior to joining Alter Domus, he was Managing Director and Country Executive at JP Morgan Bank Luxembourg.
