Withers Bergman adds trusts and estates partner

RELATED TOPICS

Trusts and estates attorney Mark E Haranzo has joined the Withers Bergman’s New York office as a partner.

Haranzo has twenty years of experience in the trusts and estates field representing a high-net-worth clientele in both the US and abroad. Although an American who advises primarily on US law, he is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and represents an important clientele there – a natural fit for Withers. He is also admitted to practice in the states of New York, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and West Virginia. Most recently, Haranzo was a partner with the law firm of Wiggin and Dana LLP.

US Regional Senior Partner Ivan A Sacks says: “We’re delighted to welcome Mark to the firm. His experience advising domestic and international high-net-worth clients is a natural complement to the firm’s representation of wealthy individuals, families and businesses around the globe.”

Haranzo lectures and writes extensively on trusts and estates law related issues, and is the co-author of a three-volume practice guide, Harris 6th Edition, New York Estates, published by WestGroup. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Mr. Haranzo has also been recognised for his accomplishment in a number of surveys and is currently listed as a “SuperLawyer” in both Connecticut and New York.

Haranzo is an active advisor to a number of charitable organisations. Among other posts, he serves as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American Museum of Britain.
